Stars of hope society organized a workshop in the society's location in Ramllah on Wednesday, October,29,2008 to discuss the principle of independent living from the Sweden perspective which has been highlighted by Dr. Adolph ratzka.
Women and girls with disabilities and some of occupational therapy experts were the attendance of the workshop
The aim of the workshop is to show the audience one of the international models that adopted the principle and to discuss any questions to achieve some ideas that can make a positive change on the disability's status in Palestine.
Ratzka also spoke about the personal assistant concept and the importance of having this kind of service. He described the proper methods to spread the concept.
At the workshop's end, a group of suggestions were given about the best way to apply the independent living principle in Palestine.
